Small Group Facilitation
To be sucessful at anything in life, you must have a clear and current understanding of your surroundings. In business, knowing your customers, your competition and where you stand is extremely important. One of the best ways to keep in touch with these issues is through first-hand research, particularly small focus groups.
It has been my experience with the right mix of participants and a strong facilitator, small group research can provide the most valuable kind of feedback. It's specific, more personal, genuine, and it gives the company an opportunity to develop long-lasting, trusting relationships with its customers and/or business partners.
To truly reap the benefits of this kind of research, an experienced facilitator to moderate and guide the flow of discussion is key. I have experience working with small groups performing such tasks as:
Overseeing the careful selection of focus group participants.
Preparing agendas and list of discussion topics.
Developing and delivering presentations and training materials necessary for discussion.
Moderating topic discussion to ensure conversation remains on track and indivdual comments are compiled and organized into solid feedback.
Assisting in analysis of research results.
Developing and executing all follow-up activities with group members such as rescheduling meetings, post-surveys, thank-you letters, etc.
